Develop Nova Scotia brings Open City under wing
It’s time to Re-Open City! As Nova Scotia’s economy gradually opens up our local businesses need our support now more than ever. So, we worked our partners rejigged a well-loved event to help kick it into high gear.
We think you’ll agree that the only thing better than Open City is more of it. This year the event will span four weekends from June 27 to July 19.
Open City was founded in 2012 by I Love Local HFX and marks the unofficial kickoff to the summer season in Halifax and Dartmouth. This year, Develop Nova Scotia is pumped to bring Open City under our wing—and thrilled to partner with I Love Local HFX, dozens of community partners, and hundreds of small businesses to bring it to life.

Public health and safety is very important to everyone and it a top priority for this event. Physical distancing markers will be provided for participating businesses who don’t have them already. And there will be signage to help keep people moving and mindful.
