ABOUT
The North Boardwalk project is focused on revitalizing the area north of the Ferry Terminal and east of the Cogswell District Project. This includes collaborations with key stakeholders HRM, Armour Group, GWLRA, and Casino Nova Scotia. Work also includes collaboration with a number of Downtown partners to engage and guide Gehl of New York in a review of HRM’s 60% plans for Cogswell.

BACKGROUND
The North Boardwalk Project is located in the area between Chebucto Landing up until Casino Nova Scotia. In years past, this area was the heart of the Halifax waterfront, and this project hopes to revitalize and bring more visitors to this incredible area. This project will capitalize on the energy and timing of the Cogswell District, improving connection of the waters’ edge to the city through the Cogswell District.
The Gehl Report ‘Towards a Human-Scale Cogswell’ was released in January, and includes a review of Cogswell District. The design includes some inspiration for North Boardwalk area.
