Mehregan Celebration

We strive to preserve our historical customs and traditions as our ancestors did. This is one of the main reasons that our traditions have survived throughout history for several thousand years.

“Mehregan” is the most important historical celebration for Iranians after “Nowruz”. “Mehregan” or “The Persian Festival of Autumn” is an ancient Persian fest which is dedicated to “Mehr” or “Mithra/Mitra” the goddess and symbol of light, friendship, love, and kindness. The word “Mehr” in Farsi, means kindness.

We would like to invite you to join in this outdoor celebration and share our culture with other non-Iranians within the community. This Celebration will be held at Halifax Waterfront, Salt Yard Too location on October 2nd from 12-5PM.

In keeping with the spirit of this celebration, we will be enjoying musical performances and dances prepared by our dear artist friends as well as involving the guests in other activities. Please observe the Covid-19 protocols, maintain social distancing, and bring a mask.
