Evergreen Festival

Nova Scotia is welcoming a new outdoor holiday season event to the Halifax waterfront and downtown Halifax. This year, there’s a whole new way to fill the festive season with magic, togetherness (while staying apart in 2020), and joy!

Welcome to the Evergreen Festival—where holiday spirit meets local flavour on the Halifax waterfront and throughout downtown.

Sharing the spirit of the season with our community has never been more important – but safety is always first, so we’ve made a few changes to this year’s festival.

Here’s what’s changed:

»  Shopping local is still the name of the game and we’re working on ways to make that safe and easy for everyone. Visit the Virtual Evergreen Market to get your holiday shopping done!

»  Supporting restaurants stays high on Santa’s list — remember, many local restaurants are still offering take-out & delivery!

»  Downtown and the Halifax waterfront will still be twinkling for you to enjoy safe strolls through Evergreen Bright.

»  All live, in-person entertainment has been cancelled, however it will be live-streamed free for your at-home entertainment so that everyone can participate while staying snug and safe! If you have already booked tickets, stay tuned – Jazz East Rising Association will be in touch.

Thank you for your excitement and support. We look forward to a full Evergreen Festival next year – fire pits and all! – but for now, let’s continue to stay safe and spread some cheer… from 6 feet apart, of course!

This holiday season, our community will come alive with music, light, and joy!
